I am a licensed ham radio operator and my FCC issued ham radio call sign is KI7F. I am currently living in a small studio apartment and am not allowed to put up out side antennas, well, I did manage to connect a piece of wire to a metal down spout from the roof of my building to use for an antenna for my shortwave radio receiver and it seem to work fairly well. I currently am using a Grundig Satellit 800 shortwave Radio communication receiver for my shortwave radio listening activities and for my ham radio activites, I mainly operate on 2 meter FM using an Icom IC-2000H and have access to most of the Denver Metro area 2 meter FM repeater systems. I use an indoor 1/2 wave pico J antenna hanging from my apartment ceiling and I run about 10 watts of power with the Icom IC-2000H.

I will tell you what stations I am hearing on my shortwave radio as well as on the standard AM broadcast band and will report any other activity or items of interest pertaining to my ham radio and SWL hobby and will try to include any URL links of interest. My E-mail address is ki7f@yahoo.com and I do have a personal web site at http:ki7f.mixutah.com and I have a personal Photo Album on the Webshot site at: http://community.webshots.com/user/ki7f2Billhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06367695759865565406noreply@blogger.com
